English Station operates websites and apps, including 'English Station' and 'The Workbook.' By using these platforms and their services, you (the user) accept all terms, conditions, policies, and notices presented here. References to "we," "us," and "our" pertain to the team at English Station. ‘English Station’ and ‘The Workbook’ may be used interchangeably as a company or team or app name as they are one and the same team/organisation.

Usage Agreement

Using our site, app, or making in-app purchases means you agree to our "Terms of Service” including future modifications. These terms include additional conditions and policies referenced here or via hyperlinks. They apply to all users, including browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and content contributors. English Station may update these terms, and your continued use of the Service after such changes signifies acceptance. It's your responsibility to check for updates.

The Service provides educational services, including language learning. English Station may update, change, or suspend aspects of the Service anytime.

Users and Users’ Responsibilities

You are responsible for your use of the Services and any actions taken using your account. English Station aims to foster a positive and safe user experience in its English language learning community. To achieve this, certain conduct is prohibited, including harassment, spamming, cheating, and sharing prohibited content. The community values respect, support for learners, and embracing regional language differences. Any violation of these guidelines may lead to the removal of posts or accounts. Additionally, using the products for illegal purposes or violating copyright laws is not allowed. English Station endeavours to create a secure and supportive environment for English learning.

You must not transmit any harmful code. Violating the Terms will lead to immediate termination of Services. When using the Service, provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and be responsible for its use. You agree to follow applicable laws and grant us a license to use submitted materials. Content shared on the Service must not infringe on others' rights or violate guidelines. We may monitor and remove objectionable content at our discretion. You indemnify us from any claims related to your use of the Service. Information on the site may not always be accurate or up-to-date. We hold no liability for Service modifications, price changes, suspensions, or discontinuations. Use the material on this site at your own risk.

License to Apps

Subject to the terms of these Terms and Conditions, English Station grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and use one copy of each App on your interactive wireless device. You or any 3rd party are prohibited from attempting to access the App's source code, reverse engineering, decompiling, or translating it. English Station and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights to the Apps and any changes made to them.

In-App Purchases

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.

If you subscribe to an auto-renewing periodic subscription through the Service, your English Station/The Workbook account will be continuously billed until you decide to terminate it. Subscriptions will automatically if cancellation is made within 24hours before the end of the billing period. Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited if you purchase a subscription. After each subscription period, it will automatically renew for an equivalent period. To change or cancel the renewal, log in to your account and follow the instructions, even if you have deleted your account.

You are responsible for paying all fees and applicable taxes associated with your English Station/The Workbook account. The pricing for goods and services offered through the Service may change at any time. Ensure that the information you provide for transactions is accurate and up-to-date. You will be charged for any purchases made by users of your payment method at the prevailing prices during the transaction. You agree to pay all charges incurred by users of your credit card, debit card, or other payment method used in connection with a purchase or transaction or other monetary transaction interaction with the Service at the prices in effect when such charges are incurred. Any applicable taxes relating to purchases will be your responsibility.

Payment Processors

Financial transactions on the Service are handled by a third party, subject to their terms, privacy policy, and payment conditions. We encourage you to learn about the practices of such third party. English Station is not liable for the actions or inactions of the payment processor, including any system downtime or outages.

Refund Policy

All payments are nonrefundable. There are no refunds or credits or partially used membership periods. However, English Station may grant refunds or credits on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. English Station’s grant of a refund or credit in one instance does not obligate English Station to provide a refund or credit in the future, under any circumstances. If you cancel your periodic subscription to a paid English Station service, you will continue to have access to the service through the end of your current billing period.

Third-Party Links, Sites, and Services

The Service may have links to third-party websites, advertisers, or services not controlled by English Station. We do not endorse or take responsibility for any third-party sites or content. If you access such sites from English Station, our Terms and Privacy Policy do not apply. English Station will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from using third-party websites or services.

The Service may contain advertisements targeted to the Content or information on the platform. English Station and its third-party providers may display such advertising in connection with user-submitted content. By using the Service, you agree to this arrangement as consideration for accessing and using it.

NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES BY ENGLISH STATION

ENGLISH STATION DOES NOT MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND RELATING TO ACCURACY, SERVICE AVAILABILITY, COMPLETENESS, INFORMATIONAL CONTENT, ERROR-FREE OPERATION, RESULTS TO BE OBTAINED FROM USE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. ACCESS AND USE OF THE SERVICE MAY BE UNAVAILABLE DURING PERIODS OF PEAK DEMAND, SYSTEM UPGRADES, MALFUNCTIONS OR SCHEDULED OR UNSCHEDULED MAINTENANCE OR FOR OTHER REASONS.

LIMITATION ON TYPES OF DAMAGES/LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, English Station will not be liable to you or any third party for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from accessing or using the Service. This includes loss of use, inaccurate results, loss of profits, business interruption, or damages related to data loss or corruption. Even if advised of the possibility of such damages, English Station will not be liable for the cost of data recovery, substitute services, or claims by third parties for damage to computers or other property.

Copyright

You agree not to reproduce, sell, or exploit any part of the Service without our written permission. All Service Content, including text, graphics, and software, belongs to English Station or its licensors. You cannot modify, copy, or distribute it without permission. No data mining or extraction methods are allowed. Any content generated by your use of educational activities on the Service is owned by English Station. You assign all rights in the Activity Materials to English Station. Any rights not explicitly granted in these Terms and Conditions are reserved by English Station and its licensors.

Privacy

Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, a copy of which is located at Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the terms of the Privacy Policy.

Promotion Codes

English Station offers Promotion Codes that can be used to redeem specific Services. These codes may be altered or terminated by English Station or third-party providers, unless stated otherwise. To redeem a Free Trial or Discount Code, you must choose a subscription plan for after the trial or discount period and provide valid payment details accepted by English Station.

If you redeem a Free Trial or time-limited discount code and don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial/discount ends, you'll become a recurring subscriber to the selected plan. Your provided payment method will be automatically charged for the chosen subscription price. Canceling during the extended free trial will result in access loss at its end.

Promotion Codes hold no monetary value and can't be exchanged for cash or refunds on previous purchases. Each Promotion Code can be redeemed only once. Some may have expiration dates or redemption limits.

English Station can modify, suspend, or terminate Promotion Codes at its discretion. Reselling or transferring Promotion Codes is strictly prohibited, and any such codes are void. Violating terms may lead to invalidation of Promotion Codes and termination of related Services without refund or exchange. Abusive behavior may result in the user's ban from redeeming or using Promotion Codes.

Language

This agreement was originally written in English (US). To the extent any translated version of this agreement conflicts with the English version, the English version controls.

In addition to our terms and conditions, 3rd parties including but not limited to, Supabase, Napkin, Bravo, and app publishers App Store and Google Playstore, have their own terms and conditions. These terms and conditions take precedence over English Station’s terms and condition. It is the user’s responsibility to read the terms and conditions of these 3rd parties.
